Art group

Local artists are meeting at the Ben Franklin Store in Baken Park to paint on Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m.

Recently they have been painting boxes for the Memory Box Program.  Memory boxes are given out when an infant dies.  These Memory Boxes are given to parents who have experienced either a loss by miscarriage or the death of an infant child.   Parents can keep mementos of the child in the box, such as hospital ID bracelet, photos, cards etc. Having a Memory Box to hold these items, helps the parents deal with their grief, and it opens the way for their friends and families to talk with them about their precious child, who lived such a short time.

Call Pam Cranfill at 348-7309 for more information about the art group or the Memory Box Program.
